Food for Thought

"Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing (health) shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. Then your shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry and He will say, 'Here I am'." Isaiah 58:8-9 NKJV

Isaiah 58 Dos and Don'ts

Don't oppress workers.

Don't fight and quarrel.

Do free those wrongly imprisoned.

Do lighten the burden of those who work for you.

Do let the oppressed go free.

Do remove the chains that bind people.

Do share your food with the hungry.

Do give shelter to the homeless.

Do give clothes to those who need them.

Don't hide from relatives who need your help.

Do remove the heavy yoke of oppression.

Don't point fingers at others.

Don't spread vicious rumors.

Do help those in trouble.

Don't pursue your own interests on the Lord's day.
